III Forks’ Executive Chef Billy Caruso has created a new gourmet burger, available on the restaurant’s Bar Bites menu. The “Dunn Burger,” inspired by Chicago White Sox first baseman #32 Adam Dunn, features a 16 ounce USDA Prime burger, 3 Year Hooks Wisconsin sharp cheddar, Raisin River slab bacon and side of fries for $24.95. Dining guests may add a fried egg for $2.95, or three ounces of seared foie gras for $19.95.
What better time to try the “Dunn Burger” than during the start of South Side baseball? (Chicago White Sox opening day is Monday, March 31). Chef Caruso’s Bar Bites menu, available in the lounge area or on the seasonal rooftop patio, is available Sunday through Thursday, 5-11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 5 p.m.-midnight.

Tucked away in the quiet residential neighborhood of Lakeshore East in the downtown area, the slick III Forks certainly stands out. It’s one of the few places where you can get a great prime aged steak in the Chicago Loop, and it doesn’t hurt that you can also dine on one of the fanciest patios in the city.
Located on the second level, the spacious patio offers guests sweeping views of the neighborhood’s beautiful residential and business skyscrapers. It’s heated, with fireplaces, so it’s open year-round. It also serves as a popular after-work watering hole for area residents and workers of the New East Side area of Chicago.
