The place hummed along as a “The Go Steakhouse” for locals. Last year some new talent moved into their 200 East Chestnut St. Seneca Hotel home. I was told that the Francesca’s next door was hurting their head count and the bottom line. Along with a surge of new Prime Steakhouses opening up around town a little shake-out in the market was to be expected. But when long time Boris Kirzhner left after taking a job at Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Oak Brook it was more than the absentee management could take. So on 12/31/13 after closing they locked the doors with little notice to staff.
Maybe it closed because of the Walmart Steaks? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tf3TXSmz9es
Perry’s Restaurants, a family-owned group of award-winning steakhouses, will open an 11,000-square-foot location of its award-winning Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille in Oak Brook, Illinois this fall. Perry’s Steakhouse will be located at Oakbrook Center adjacent to Neiman Marcus. The new restaurant will accommodate 350 guests and includes design features such as a towering wine wall, five private dining rooms, an island bar, main dining with glimpses of the kitchen and an outdoor patio. Famous for its selection of butcher-fresh Prime beef, Perry’s is also known for its unexpected steakhouse specialty – Perry’s Famous Pork Chop, a seven finger high chop that is dried, cured and roasted, then caramelized and topped with Perry’s signature herb-garlic butter. Perry’s is also home to Bar 79, which features bar menu items, wines and martinis.
