The famed West Coast steakhouse chain moved east in 2010 with the opening of its River North outpost in the former home for Blue Water Grill. Considered one of Chicago’s Top 10 steakhouses for business-related gatherings, Mastro’s offers a classic steakhouse experience with ample room on two levels (including private dining on the top floor).
The menu consists of 16 different chops and steaks, ranging from an eight-ounce petite filet to a 48-ounce double cut Porterhouse. For non-meat eaters, there is also an ample selection of seafood dishes; choose from such best-sellers as Chilean sea bass, grilled swordfish or live Maine lobster.
Mastro’s classic martini, craft beers and a bountiful wine list complement entree selections, and the first-floor lounge serves as a popular meeting place for area workers. A piano player performs nightly until 2am.
