BLT Steak: Story from USA Today
There are buffets in Las Vegas, and then there is the Sterling Brunch. Once only available to high rollers and casino executives, the extravagant spread became so popular that the casino began allowing the public in — with a hefty price tag — at $90 per person ($85 for Total Rewards guests). The 40-year-old institution took a little hiatus while the former Bally’s Steakhouse transformed into the chic, sophisticated BLT Steak, but reintroduces itself this weekend.
The recently opened BLT Steak originated in New York City, known for its sleek, modern décor and fluffy, Gruyere popovers served gratis at the beginning of each meal. Choose from excellent cuts of meat such as the rib eye or a 28 day-aged New York strip, or from a wine list of more than 300 Old World selections. The 7,000-square-foot restaurant is a breath of fresh air from the old school, classic feel that was Bally’s Steakhouse, which had great steaks and service in its own right, but did need to be brought into the 21st century. BLT Steak is a good fit for the modernization of the entire property, and it’s a good move to carry on the tradition of this hugely popular meal.
